PromoSalud – Manantial de Salud North Central is a community‑driven initiative implemented by certified Community Health Workers/Promotoras de Salud serving the Rundberg area of North Central Austin. Formerly known as the Latino Healthcare Forum, this effort was rebranded under the PromoSalud name to better reflect its mission of advancing culturally responsive health education and navigation. The forum focuses on Emergency Room diversion by equipping participants with the knowledge and support needed to access preventive and primary care services appropriately. Through education, resource connection, and one‑on‑one guidance, Community Health Workers emphasize the importance of establishing and maintaining a medical home, empowering individuals and families to manage their health proactively, reduce unnecessary emergency visits, and build long‑term relationships with trusted healthcare providers.
